Bentwood Boxes are unique to the Northwest Coast First Nations Peoples of British Columbia and are used for ceremonial and practical purposes; from burial boxes for ancestors to storage of clothing and household items. The Frog is the voice of the people and a symbol of innocence, stability and communication. It is also considered to be good luck.
James Michels began his carving career in 1994, shortly after working as a carpenter. He now specializes in making bentwood cedar boxes, and carving and painting them in Northwest Coast style. Many of his pieces contain inlays of abalone. He also creates panels, works by commission and every year he is a key contributor to Lattimer Gallery’s Annual Charity Bentwood Box Event.

Returns
Due to the multiple parties involved, including the factory and the warehouse, we cannot fully manage stock. The levels of stock can change at any moment. Please understand it may happen that your order may be out of stock after your order has been made.
The policy is for 30 days. If it's been more 30 days since you made your purchase and we're unable to offer you a complete refund or exchange.
The item must not be used and in the original packaging. It must also be returned in its original packaging.
